Mary Jane Oakley
Mary Jane Oakley joined LSA in June 1983. Beginning her career with Legal Services Corporation of Alabama's Monroeville office, she specializes in the areas of housing (especially Landlord-tenant cases), consumer, health and public benefits cases.
Oakley received a B.A., master's and J.D. from The University of Alabama School of Law, and was admitted to the Phi Alpha Delta Legal Society among others. She has served as president of the Women of the Law organization and has active membership with the Alabama Rural Coalition for the Homeless (ARCH) and the Alabama Alliance to End Homelessness (ALAEH), that looks to improve housing for residents and find solutions to homelessness. Oakley has also served as President and Vice President for several organizations. Oakley, who transferred to the Dothan Office in 2004, currently serves as Staff Attorney.
