Perry Myer joined LSA in May 2006. Myer's extensive legal career includes more than 2,000 cases filed in Alabama State courts which include many jury trials and appeals. Myer has also tried several cases in Federal court with jury trials, and has had oral arguments in the 11th Circuit of Court of Appeals twice. Having worked for LSA from 1991-1998 as a domestic violence staff attorney, Myer returned to LSA's Opelika and Montgomery offices in 2006. A retired U.S. Army Reserve JAG Corp member -- having served in Operation Desert Shield/Storm in Saudi Arabia in the early 1990s, Myer currently offers legal representation onsite to low-income Veterans across Central Alabama at the VA Centers in Montgomery (Perry Hill Road) and Tuskegee. Myer earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Samford University's Cumberland School of Law (1985), and is active in the community, serving as President and Secretary of the Kiwanis Club and a licensed soccer and baseball coach for the VFW, DAV, and Emmaus. Myer currently serves as Staff Attorney in the Montgomery Office.
