With your participation, Legal Services Alabama and our partners throughout the state are able to increase access to justice for Alabamians that live at or below the poverty level. Through a network of Volunteer Lawyer Programs, Alabama Free Legal Answers, and LSA’s private attorney involvement activities, there are multiple opportunities to volunteer your time and expertise! The civil legal needs of our clients typically cover multiple practice areas, most notably consumer protection, housing preservation and foreclosure defense, and domestic violence response and prevention.
We especially need assistance with LSA’s new Housing Pro Bono Project assisting with eviction defense and prevention.
Please note: LSA’s Partners for Justice Program is designed to complement existing staff services and specific legal areas of need. This means that program attorneys are selected based on areas of practice, location, and the needs of the local office. Attorneys who practice in rural counties are encouraged to apply.

Legal Services Alabama uses volunteers to assist our local offices and to help with under-served communities.
