Rachele Reis joined LSA in August 2016. Reis' specialty areas include: consumer, domestic, housing, and public benefits cases for Mobile County residents. Reis earned a J.D. from Virginia's Washington and Lee University School of Law (2015). While in law school, Reis interned for LSA's Mobile office, completing a post graduate fellowship in 2015. As a law student, Reis also served as student-attorney in the Immigrant Rights Clinic and successfully obtained political asylum status for two orphaned siblings from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Additionally, Reis served as Executive Editor of The Law News, the student newspaper, which won the ABA Law Student Division Newspaper of the Year from 2013-2015. She has served as an executive board member of the Women Law Students Organization, and as a Staff Writer for the Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice. Reis, who also received a Bachelor of Arts in Theology with minors in History, Math and Ancient Civilizations from Boston College, Reis currently serves as Staff Attorney (CDBG) in the Mobile Office.
