Legal Services Alabama Appoints new Director of Development

Montgomery, AL – (8/15/19) – Legal Services Alabama (LSA) announces the appointment of Felecia Zigler Pettway as Director of Development, effective September 9, 2019.

Mrs. Pettway has successfully served as the Selma Office Managing Attorney since April 2017.  She has a long history of accomplishment in Corporate America being as an award-winning account executive for GE and former Executive Director of the National Voting Rights Museum.  Her academia experience includes interim director at Wallace Community College-Selma.

In her new role, Pettway will work to implement LSA’s strategic plan which will increase funding and partnerships. Pettway believes that ‘Communicating LSA’s mission and great work will allow future donors to join us in making a positive impact in lives of people whom we serve.  The work we do makes a difference.’

LSA Executive Director Guy E. Lescault, said, “LSA is fortunate to have on staff someone with Mrs. Pettway’s marketing and fundraising experience. In her new position, she will be leading our resource development efforts to continue to unite us as a community to work toward the idea that everyone in Alabama is entitled to equal protection under the law.”

A native of Wilcox County, AL, Pettway holds a J.D. from Miles College of Law, a Master of Science in Management from Faulkner University, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Alabama.
