LSA Pro Bono Disaster Relief Clinics

Legal Services Alabama is responding to recent disaster relief needs by offering free pro bono legal clinics to people in the Montgomery and Selma areas struggling to recover from storm damage.

The clinic series is being supported by the LSA John Lewis Legal Fellowship program.

With people who are low-income carrying the biggest burden after natural disasters, there are racial disparities in relief in areas like Selma and Montgomery.

Services LSA can provide to clients in the wake of a disaster include housing, SNAP and public assistance, consumer issues and contractor fraud, insurance, FEMA applications and more.

Selma clinics are scheduled Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. – 4p.m. at the Selma office: 801 Alabama Ave, Suite100 Selma, AL 36701 at least through February 15th.

Montgomery clinics are scheduled Tuesdays and Thursdays 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Montgomery office: 2567 Fairlane Drive, Suite 200 Montgomery, AL 36116

Additional clinics may be scheduled depending on the volume of client needs.

Alabamians hurt by disasters in 2020 and 2021 – like Sally or Zeta – could also be eligible for free legal aid.

People who are low-income and in need of disaster relief legal aid can meet with an LSA attorney at our Montgomery or Selma office locations.

Clients unable to attend in person can do intake over the phone: 877-393-2333
