Our May 2020 Advocate of the Month is Meteasa Henderson. Meteasa joined LSA (formerly Legal Services of North-Central Alabama) in October 1994. Meteasa specializes in the area of family law — protecting domestic violence survivors in all areas. Meteasa is a graduate of The University of Tennessee’s (Knoxville) College of Law (1992) and serves as Staff Attorney in the Huntsville Office.
In May, Meteasa helped a number of clients facing domestic violence to resolve their issues in court. In several cases case she helped women escaping a dangerous relationship to start over with custody of their children and child support. In several other cases she helped clients deal with guardianship, custody modification and protection from abuse orders.
In addition to these great results, Meteasa also led LSA in the number cases closed in May.
In May, Meteasa illustrated the difference LSA can make in the lives of the people we serve and she made us all proud doing it. Congratulants Meteasa and keep up the good work.
