LSA welcomes newest Attorney to its legal staff in Selma

LSA welcomed Staff Attorney Lexie SoloRio to its Selma Office on March 18, 2019. A 2018 graduate of the Jones School of Law, SoloRio specializes in domestic violence/divorce, evictions and social security cases.

Having worked in government and with the Alabama Department of Corrections, SoloRio believed the chance to work for LSA was an ideal opportunity.

“During law school, I did a lot of my internships with government agencies,” SoloRio said. “I realize how many people need legal representation and don’t have it. When LSA came to Jones – I felt it was a great way to help people that cannot afford an attorney to be able to have representation during a really tough time – they need someone in their corner.”

Through LSA, SoloRio hopes to “find her niche.”

“I want to hopefully be an expert in law here – be a point person on a particular area of law,” SoloRio said. “I’ve taken over most of the domestic violence/divorce cases in Dallas and Lowndes counties. I’ve met some judges and clerks and everyone seems to be very friendly and super helpful.”

SoloRio also earned a bachelor’s from The University of Alabama (2014), majoring in Political Science with a minor in History and Mathematics. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking and golfing.

SoloRio, stated she is family-oriented, and enjoys spending extensive time with her only sister Rachel, who lives in Auburn, and her parents, who live near a beach in South Carolina.
