LSA helps survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence with the following:

Divorce*

LSA is able to assist eligible Veterans with securing divorce whether or not abuse or violence is present.

Custody & Child Support

Service areas include: legal custody, physical custody, visitation schedules, filing and defending child support cases

Paternity

Termination of Parental Rights & Adoptions

Guardianship

Guardianship is a legal process where a trusted person would gain the right to assist a person who can no longer make or communicate safe or sound decisions about their person and/or property or has become susceptible to fraud or undue influence. 

Estate Planning

Service areas include: wills, trusts, power of attorney, and advance healthcare directives

Most of these services are only available to Veterans eligible under the Legal Services for Homeless Veterans or Veterans that are at risk of being homeless program funded by the VA. If you are not a Veteran but have an income eligible for services, LSA may be able to help you with some of these civil legal issues.
